Eric “The Bug Guy” Palmer
Eric has one simple, yet not easy, desire in life; to leave the world a little better then he found it. In 2007 he, his grandfather, and his father bought Southwest Exterminators. They set out to create a company that put the client first, knowledge at the forefront, and compassion as a keystone. In 2010 Eric became the sole owner of Southwest Exterminators while his grandfather Bill “The Grampa” Dahn kept and continued to work in the Sun River subdivision with and for his neighbors solely.
Eric moved to Utah’s Dixie in the summer of 2006 because of the great hiking, strong family values, and spectacular motorcycle weather after serving four honorable years in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoys riding motorcycles, hiking, backpacking, and his new passion is 1940’s swing dancing. He has experience as a warehouse manager, heavy equipment operator, U.S. Marine, & property manager. He also got his degree from Dixie State College, now Dixie State University.
Eric says he is blessed beyond what he readily deserves with “the most beautiful woman this side of the Mississippi” and five engaging children. You may also hear him say, “You can’t have a bad day in pest control, at least once per day someone is calling you their hero!” You may have seen Eric at local trade shows handling scorpions, tarantulas, and all kinds of creepy crawlies. You may have also heard him on the radio on shows such as The Mike McGarry Morning Show on AM 890, Eric Scott Financial on AM 890, Kevin Hansen with Cherry Creek Mortgage on AM 890, and Ask The Experts on AM 1450. He is a founding member and former vice president of the Utah Pest Control Association. By these and many more little acts, Eric hopes to leave the world a little better than he found it. Eric is the President and Co-Owner of Southwest Exterminators
