Subterranean Termite Prepping
Spring is around the corner and that means so are termites. The most common termite service we offer is for subterranean termites. These termites live in the ground and send workers and soldiers into our homes to collect nutrients. The following is a what to prep for our termite service.
Prep:
Step 1: Clear the exterior of your home to allow uninterrupted access to the perimeter of your home.
Step 2: Remove any excessive yard waste such as yard clippings, mulch piles, leaf litter, etc.
Step 3: Turn off your sprinklers if they are on directly before, during, or after our service application.
Step 4: Clean your home and remove debris from the floor (children’s toys, cloths, etc.).
Step 5: Move furniture items at least three (3) feet away from the outside facing walls on the interior of your home.
Step 6: The service may require the removal of drywall, wood facades, or trim. In the event that such actions become necessary for proper colony elimination we will need those areas fully cleared of any hanging pictures, vinyl décor, or other items that may be present.
After the Treatment
It is important to note that the termites will be alive after the treatment. This allows the termites to take our control products back to the queen and eliminate the source of your infestation. Typical results will provide you with a termite free home 72-96 hours after treatment.
We also offer Advanced subterranean termite monitoring for your added protection and peace of mind.
