Southern Utah is beautiful, Pine Valley Mountain standing sentinel, the red rock sandstone beneath it, and the black bubbled lava rock solidified in ancient river beds. Many homes in southern Utah have used those lava rocks or sandstones to build decorative and functional retaining walls like those pictured here.

It is important to note, however, that rock retaining walls also provide a nesting spot for a variety of pests. Among the most opportunistic are; scorpions, spiders, roaches, and even tarantulas!

It is for this reason that Southwest Exterminators strongly recommends rock-retaining-wall treatments to the homes we service. A good treatment around the home itself will control a wide variety of pests from gaining access to the interior of your home. But, treating the rock retaining wall and eliminating the possibility for it to be used as a breeding center will provide a better overall pest control treatment and will provide you with a pest-free landscape.

If you have any questions about rock retaining wall treatments please call our office or request a pest inspection here on our website.
