Rodent Description
There are a variety of rodents which infest southern Utah’s. The most common are the roof rat, wood rat, Norway rat, house mouse, field mouse & deer mouse. These species vary greatly in their nesting habits, food preferences, and behavior. Without an in-depth knowledge of these attributes of different rodent species, control is difficult at best. Rodents are known to transmit a myriad of diseases to human. Control should only be done by a licensed and trained professional. Proper preparation is necessary for a successful service. The following steps must be completed prior to our treatment.
Step 1: Clear the exterior of your home to allow uninterrupted access to the perimeter of the property.
Step 2: Remove any excessive yard waste such as yard clippings, mulch piles, leaf litter, etc.
Step 3: Turn off your sprinklers if they are on directly before, during, or after our service application.
Step 4: Clean your home and remove debris from the floor (children’s toys, cloths, etc.).
Step 5: Insure there is a safe location for our pest control specialists to access the roof if necessary.
Step 6: The service may require the removal of sheet-rock, attic insulation, or fascia. In the event that such actions become necessary to properly provide a quality service we will need those areas fully cleared. Your pest control specialist will advise you if this will be necessary.
